I live in Minneapolis but have family in North Dakota. On the drive back to Minneapolis there is a sign on I-94 East 99 miles outside of Minneapolis that has three mileage listings on it.
Melrose is listed at 3 miles, St. Cloud at 33 and the last location, Minneapolis, is 99 miles away. This sign has screamed to me every time I went by it!
How many people notice that? Does it jump out like crazy to you?
I started thinking. How many road signs are there that have mathematical significance. I’ve looked at many, and there are very few. Road Sign Math is the game of finding road signs that have math in them. There are rules to this, you can’t just bring in any numbers you want and there are boundaries.
